One of the main reasons I love seascapes is just the variety you can get from different beaches. Or even the same beach at different tides. Block Island is obviously the place that inspires my work the most. I’ve spent last 12 years on the island. Very often , when I go to the very same places to photograph them at different times and seasons, scenery can occur totally different. Most of the time when I shoot seascapes I use tripod. It is very important to give stability to camera, especially when I’m shooting long exposures. For me personally it’s very important to connect with the nature in the moment. Only than I can react in order to find best possible spot or perspective for making unique photograph. Sometimes it’s good to make feet wet. Some of the best compositions are those taken from the water.
